What is a Pre-Insulated Steel Pipe?

A factory-made bonded system consisting of a steel carrier pipe, high-density polyurethane foam insulation and a protective outer jacket (HDPE/steel). Designed for energy-efficient transport of hot/chilled water in geothermal and district networks.

• Insulation: PU rigid foam, thickness per Series 1/2 (EN 253 reference)
• Outer jacket: HDPE (PE100) black; steel casing option for special sites
• Temperature/Pressure: up to 120 °C continuous (short-term 140 °C); PN10–PN25 project-based
• Joints & fittings: elbows, tees, reducers, end caps, electrofusion or heat-shrink kits with foam injection

DN & wall thickness (carrier steel grade) + insulation series + jacket type (HDPE/steel) + operating temp/pressure + joint kit type + lengths/quantities. Example: DN150, EN 10217-2 P235GH, Series 2 insulation, HDPE jacket, joints: heat-shrink + foam.
